[Green] Agricultural Development Administration supplies new citrus varieties 'Winter Prince and Future Flavor'

The Rural Development Administration has introduced new citrus varieties 'Winter Prince' and 'Future Scent' that can be harvested from December.

The Rural Development Administration explained that both varieties are easy to peel off and are juicy, making them easier to eat than conventional citrus fruits, and are characterized by a sweet and sour taste.

"WinterPrince" has been well received by consumers since 2020 breed registration, and is expected to distribute about 200 tons this winter, it said.

The Rural Development Administration explained that "Future Hyang," which has completed the registration of varieties in 2024, is of better quality than the existing citrus variety "Aewon City No. 28 (Golden Hyang)," which is produced at the same time, and is receiving favorable responses from farmers due to its easy management of trees.

The Rural Development Administration added that it distributes cultivation guidelines for stable cultivation of these varieties and provides regular counseling and farming information through cultivation groups by breed.
