Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who was suspended due to the National Assembly's impeachment, is set to be the longest-serving prime minister since democratization in 1987.

Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who will take over as the first prime minister of the Yoon Suk Yeol government from May 21, 2022, will enter his 959th day in office tomorrow (3rd), the longest record exceeding former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon's 958 days.

Earlier, Han served as prime minister for 10 months from April 2007 to February 2008, even during the Roh Moo Hyun government.

The suspended prime minister is said to be mostly staying at the prime minister's official residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, to prepare for the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial and the police's investigation into the civil war.
