Chairman Woo "Proceeds impeachment trial and martial law parliamentary investigation without a hitch"

National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik said resolving instability caused by martial law is a prerequisite for restoring national credibility and stabilizing the economy, and asked the National Assembly to prepare impeachment proceedings and parliamentary investigations.

At the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Assembly, Woo said that the National Assembly is the only constitutional institution elected by the people at the moment, and that it is receiving higher expectations than ever after the martial law crisis.

He also added that this year, we need to step up efforts to achieve concrete results on three key tasks: constitutional amendment, social dialogue, and climate parliament.

Chairman Woo emphasized that the government should also respond to the Jeju Air plane disaster with all-out efforts, but that the National Assembly should thoroughly check and supplement the situation from the perspective of survivors and survivors.
