As the controversy spread that the KBS drama crew damaged a UNESCO World Heritage Site-listed building, KBS issued an official statement and apologized.

KBS said on the 30th of last month that it received a complaint from the on-site visitors while the drama official was nailing the props during the filming of Byeongsan Seowon in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, and that it sincerely bowed its head and apologized.

Currently, drama officials and Byeongsan Seowon officials are checking the site and discussing the recovery process, adding that they will actively discuss measures to prevent recurrence.

Earlier, architect Min Seo-hong posted a picture of the drama's shooting team nailing the top of the pillar at Byeongsan Seowon Mandeoru on his SNS, and officials were angry when he protested.
