Kenya's space agency, the KSA, said a ring-shaped metal object 2.5 meters in diameter and 500 kilograms in weight crashed in Mukuku village, Makueni County, on April 30.
No one was hurt when the object fell.
The KSA explained that the object is a ring separated from the rocket launch vehicle and appears to be designed to burn off when re-entering the atmosphere or fall into an uninhabited area.
Earlier in 2022, some of SpaceX's Dragon capsules fell on a sheep farm in southern Australia.
In addition, in March last year, an object believed to be space junk crashed into a house in Florida, the homeowner filed a lawsuit against the space agency, and in June, an object believed to have fallen from a rocket launched by China fell on a village in southwest China, forcing residents to evacuate.
