National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik pointed out that the three constitutional judges elected by the National Assembly are judges who have already been agreed upon by the ruling and opposition parties and should also appoint candidate Ma Eun-hyuk, who has not yet been appointed by Acting President Choi Sang-mok.

Chairman Woo made the remarks by disclosing an official letter sent to the National Assembly Secretariat last month that the Democratic Party of Korea would recommend Cho Han-chang, a candidate for political affairs, and Ma Eun-hyuk, respectively.

He also stressed that on November 19 last year, the floor leaders of both parties made a public statement that they agreed to complete the recommendation of three candidates for the Constitutional Court within three days.

Woo's side plans to ask the Constitutional Court for a power dispute trial if there is no change in position by tomorrow morning, saying that acting Choi has presented the grounds as soon as the ruling and opposition parties' agreement is confirmed.
