Presidential Security Agency "Same as Previously Positioned"…Additional Description Damage
An official from the Security Service said, "I can't mention the specific response method in advance."
"Keeping the number of security guards in the official residence at all times."
"It's not up to the secretary's office to decide whether to open the official residence."
The security service seems to be concerned about the noise if it reveals its response plan.

As the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit launched an arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol, the Presidential Security Service said the existing security guards were maintained.

The security service said it would take security measures in accordance with due process, but did not say whether it would open the official residence or block the police.

What's the security service's position?

[Reporter]
As the Criminal Investigation Office of high-ranking government officials is executing an arrest warrant early this morning, the presidential security office is also moving with urgency.

For now, the security service is avoiding further explanation, saying it is the same as the previous position.

Earlier, when an arrest warrant was issued for President Yoon Suk Yeol, the security service immediately issued a statement:

"We understand that 'protection measures' will be taken in accordance with due process regarding the execution of the warrant."

It may be interpreted to mean that it will physically prevent police from executing warrants.

In a call with YTN today, a security official said he could not mention in advance how to respond, such as whether to open the presidential residence or block the police.

At the same time, he explained that the number of regular security guards is maintained in the official residence.

He also asked specifically about the exception of the application of Articles 110 and 111 of the Criminal Procedure Act, which stated that the arrest warrant could refuse seizure or search without the consent of the person in charge, but avoided answering, saying he had nothing more to say.

Another security official said it was not up to the presidential secretariat to decide whether to open the door to the official residence.

In view of this situation, the security service has set a response policy to the execution of the warrant, but it seems to be trying to avoid noise by disclosing it in advance.

Only after checking the execution site will we know whether the security service will go to the point where it will physically collide with the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit or the police.

So far, I'm YTN Cho Yong Sung in the presidential office.
