Kwon Young-se, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee, said, "The attempt by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon is extremely unfair and overpowering," adding, "It is fortunate that it has been stopped now."

Chairman Kwon held an emergency press conference and said, "There should be no such attempt in the future."

He then criticized the judiciary for violating the separation of powers and the disappearance of the rule of law, saying that this was the result of unfair transactions between the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and political judges.

He also pointed out that in the current situation where there is no possibility of escape and there is no fear of destroying evidence, it is a principle that an investigation without detention is guaranteed, and that if the exceptional procedure is applied to the incumbent president, the public will not be able to agree.

Chairman Kwon stressed that since some constitutional judges are currently in place, it is possible to quickly hear the impeachment motion, so investigations by investigative agencies such as the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit will be conducted in the process.

He also urged the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police to stop overstepping their authority, including the execution of excessive warrants, and warned that the party would do everything it could if it took any action against it.
