While Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has emerged as the heavyweight of the second Trump administration in the U.S., recently stepped in and outspokenly intervened in European politics, the Italian prime minister has defended Musk.

Italian Prime Minister Jorja Meloni praised Musk in a local media interview, calling him "a major figure representing our time and a special innovator who always thinks about the future."

He also said that he has a very good relationship with Musk, and that he is an outstanding person and that it is always interesting to talk with.

Recently, the European edition of Politico, a political media outlet, selected Meloni as the most influential person in Europe, believing that he will serve as a bridge between the Trump administration and Europe as he gets closer to Trump through Musk.

Musk previously posted support for Germany's far-right party ahead of the general election and accused the German president of being a "tyrant," while calling for an early general election based on a poll showing that the ruling Labour Party's approval rating has fallen significantly in Britain.
