The Accident Investigation Committee, which investigates the cause of the Muan Airport plane disaster, has decided to send the flight recorder FDR to the United States on the 6th.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said at today's briefing that two of our investigators have decided to transfer FDR to the United States and participate in the deciphering process.

Regarding the voice recording device, he said that he started writing the transcript based on the written voice file, but he said he did not know when it would be completed.

An additional employee of GE, an engine manufacturer, joined the Korea-U.S. joint accident investigation team, bringing the total number to 23.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport also decided to extend the investigation of six airlines with B737-800 models, which were originally scheduled to be completed by today (3rd), by one week until the 10th.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it initially started investigating landing gears and engines, but extended the investigation period because there were additional confirmations such as compliance with maintenance time.
