The Dow rose 0.8% on the New York Stock Exchange on the 3rd, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed 1.26% and 1.77% higher, respectively.

Santa Rally points to the U.S. stock market rising through the last five trading days at the end of the year and the second trading day of January of the following year, but this time it was only weak and did not meet expectations.
