The Democratic Party of Korea said, "Yoon excluded 'insurrection' from the reason for impeachment? an ignorant claim"

The Democratic Party of Korea criticized the claim of Joo Jin-woo, the chairman of the legal advisory committee, that "the opposition party removed the crime of rebellion from the reason for impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol," as an ignorant claim that only induces bitter laughter.

The Democratic Party commented that the key is to fight the impeachment reasons voted by the National Assembly for violation of the Constitution, not violation of the criminal law, the "crime of rebellion," so the concept of excluding the crime of rebellion itself does not hold.

Lee Yong-woo, chairman of the legal committee, also criticized Joo for making such claims for the purpose of misleading and inciting the people, saying he doesn't think he really knew about these laws.

He also pointed out that, as floor leader Kwon Sung-dong of the People's Power mentioned in the past impeachment trial of Park Geun Hye's president, it is to ensure that the reason for impeachment is in line with the purpose of the constitutional trial.
