According to the New York Post and other sources, a knock-air DD176 Boeing 737-800 plane, which was scheduled to head from Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport to Nanjou Nankon Airport in northern Thailand on the 30th of last month, attempted to take off twice but failed.
The captain informed passengers of engine problems and moved the aircraft to the parking lot for inspection.
There were no casualties, but passengers had to panic and had inconvenience moving to alternative flights.
One passenger on the plane told the New York Post that he found the engine stopped at the time of the first takeoff attempt and realized something was wrong after the same thing was repeated on the second attempt.
He added that the engine was exceptionally loud on the second attempt and the plane was unable to fly until it passed the usual take-off point.
"The plane must be thoroughly inspected before it can resume operations," said Thai low-cost carrier Nokair. "We apologise to all affected passengers."
