Seniors are gathering at a store in a traditional market to assemble industrial products.

About 40 elderly people gathered here and are participating in the 'Working Bobfer' project promoted by Chungcheongbuk-do.

If you work only three hours a day, you will receive an Onnuri gift certificate worth 15,000 won, including the money paid by merchants or companies entrusted with the work with Chungcheongbuk-do.

For seniors who have not spent time at home or had nothing to do, this welfare project is welcome.

In addition, Chungcheongbuk-do adds wages and most gift certificates are used in the market, which also helps revitalize the market.

[So Yunho / Cheongju Yukgeori Market CEO: 70 people are here now, but they can raise their self-esteem, get gift certificates, eat with gift certificates, go grocery shopping at traditional markets....]

{Working Bobfer' project is the first productive welfare project implemented in the country by Chungcheongbuk-do last year.

Last year, it was operated on a trial basis in 46 places, including traditional markets and senior citizens' centers, and more than 12,000 elderly people participated.

Most of them helped with the work of agricultural trimming, packaging, and assembly of industrial products.

Chungcheongbuk-do plans to expand the number of participants per day to 1,000 from this year to provide stable work to the elderly in cooperation with local companies.

[Kim Young-hwan / Chungcheongbuk-do Governor: Within this year, the system will be a system where 10,000 people work, so that certain results and systems will be verified, and that will spread nationwide.]Attention is focusing on whether the

'Working Bobfer' will become a new welfare model.
