The Korea Meteorological Administration said the snow is gradually strengthening in northern Gyeonggi Province, including Paju, Gimpo, Dongducheon, and Yangju, and Yeongseo, Gangwon Province, with a lot of snow of around 5cm.
The Korea Meteorological Administration also issued a "heavy snow reserve warning" in the region, saying that up to 10cm of snow will fall in inland Gangwon Province, mountains and northern Gyeonggi Province, where a heavy snow warning was issued, and up to 8cm of snow will fall in Seoul.
This snow will gradually expand and fall strongly until the morning, especially in Gangwon and some parts of Gyeonggi Province, wet and strong snow of 1 to 3cm per hour is expected, so caution against damage to facilities and sliding accidents is needed.
This snow will gradually subside from the Seoul metropolitan area late this afternoon or evening, and most of it will stop overnight.
However, in the middle of the week, the strongest cold wave will come this winter, with the morning temperature in Seoul falling to minus 11 degrees Celsius, and another heavy snowfall is expected on the west coast, including Honam.
