Breaking News Heavy snow warning issued in Seoul, with up to 8cm of snow

With up to 8cm of snow predicted in Seoul, a heavy snow warning was issued in all regions (northeast, northwest, and southwest areas) except the southeastern part of Seoul as of 7:30 a.m. today.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that about 2cm of snow has accumulated in Dobong-gu, Nowon-gu, Gangseo-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Eunpyeong-gu, and Seodaemun-gu in Seoul, where the heavy snow warning has been issued, and many places will have 8cm of snow in the future.

Snow in Seoul will fall somewhat strongly in some areas until this morning, and will subside later in the afternoon or in the evening.

However, special attention is needed as the risk of sliding accidents can increase as many places are expected to ice overnight in the cold below zero.
