The epicenter of the earthquake is 18 kilometers north-northeast of Uiryeong, South Gyeongsang Province, and it is 10 kilometers deep.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said the earthquake detected a weak vibration of "Jindo 2" near Gyeongnam, but no damage is expected.
'Jindo 2' is a vibration that can be felt in a quiet state or by only a few people on the upper floor of the building.
Three earthquakes occurred on the Korean Peninsula this year, including this one.
