According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, 5.9cm of snow fell in Songwol-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul until this morning due to snow clouds introduced from the West Sea, 12cm in Jangdan-myeon, Paju, 11cm in Yangyang-myeon, Ganghwa, and 10.3cm in Saengyeon-dong, Dongducheon.
In the afternoon, Seoul will receive 1cm more light snow or less, but up to 5cm more snow will be seen in northeastern Gyeonggi Province.
In particular, up to 8cm more snow is expected to fall in Gangwon inland, mountains, Chungbuk, and Gyeongbuk until night.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) asked that the snow be careful of damage to facilities in places where a lot of snow falls due to "humid snow" with heavy and humid properties.
In addition, the risk of thin ice and icy road accidents is expected to increase from night when the temperature drops, so thorough preparation is needed.
