President Yoon Suk Yeol's side said that President Yoon will appear in person and make a statement on the impeachment hearing date of the Constitutional Court.Yoon Kap-geun, a lawyer representing President Yoon
, told reporters today (5th) that the Constitutional Court has designated five hearings for the impeachment of the president, and that the president will attend and express his opinion on the appropriate date.

As a result, there are observations that President Yoon could attend the first hearing scheduled for the 14th as early as the 14th.

Earlier, the Constitutional Court designated five arguments every Tuesday and Thursday from the 14th to the 4th of next month when the second hearing preparation date was held.

According to the Constitutional Court Act, the parties must attend the formal hearing, but if they do not attend, they can finish the trial and set the next date, but if they do not appear on the second date, they can judge without the parties.

Previously, former presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Park Geun-hye have never attended, so if President Yoon attends in person, he will be the first president in the impeachment trial.
