At a joint meeting of the emergency committee and senior lawmakers, Kwon pointed out that a re-decision is necessary because the withdrawal of the rebellion crime means an essential change in the impeachment prosecution.
He added that the change of the impeachment bill should not be handled by closed-door consultations by some lawmakers and lawyers, adding that they should be careful about changing each letter and every investigation.
He also criticized the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, saying that it is only intended to insult the president to execute the arrest warrant unfairly and unreasonably even though the president is actually under pension.
Floor leader Kwon Sung-dong also argued that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit should give up the execution of the warrant as concerns over clashes around the official residence have increased since the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' protest yesterday (4th).
