The three countries agreed to share information on North Korea's ballistic missile launch and maintain close cooperation in preparation for the possibility of further provocations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Lee Joon-il, director of the Korean Peninsula Policy Bureau, shared relevant information and discussed ways to cooperate with Seth Bailey, U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, and Akihiro Okouch, Japan's foreign ministry's Asia-Pacific bureau chief.

The three countries condemned North Korea's launch of ballistic missiles despite repeated warnings from the international community in a wired consultation, calling them a clear violation of many U.N. Security Council resolutions and a serious threat to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the international community.

In addition, the government will closely monitor the possibility of additional provocations by North Korea and continue to work closely together to respond firmly to the North's threats and provocations.
