The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) was 10 cm above and below Gochang, Jeollabuk-do, as of 12 p.m. today.
It said that 7.8cm of snow fell in Byeonsan-myeon, Buan, 7.1cm in Gunseo-myeon, Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, and 5.1cm in Geunheung-myeon, Taean, Chungcheongnam-do.
In particular, strong snow is expected to fall 3 to 5cm per hour on the west coast of North Jeolla Province and 1 to 3cm per hour on the west coast of South Chungcheong Province, North Jeolla Province, and the mountains of Jeju.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged thorough preparation and caution, saying heavy and strong snow could flow into Chungnam, Honam's west coast, and some inland, leading to damage to facilities such as greenhouses and livestock houses.
