The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency's anti-corruption economic crime investigation team has decided not to send prosecutors and employees of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office accused of violating the sentence enforcement law in connection with the so-called "conciliation of prosecutors' drinking" raised by Lee Hwa-young, former governor of peace in Gyeonggi Province.

The police have investigated the case for the past eight months, but have decided that there is no evidence to support the accuser's claim, such as alcohol being brought into the prosecution office.

He also explained that even if the import of liquor turned out to be true, the case cannot be sent because there is no basis for punishment.

The charges indicated in the complaint by the former lieutenant governor Lee are in violation of the Criminal Execution Act, because they do not apply to the prosecution office, not to correctional facilities.

Earlier in April last year, former lieutenant governor Lee accused them of making false statements with the conciliation and pressure of the prosecution and former chairman of Ssangbangwool Group Kim Sung-tae while being investigated into the case of Ssangbangwool's remittance to North Korea.
