The UN Security Council will hold a briefing session on the issue of North Korea's non-proliferation at the UN headquarters on the afternoon of the 8th to deal with the launch of ballistic missiles.
The meeting was called by six Security Council members, including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Slovenia, and Denmark.
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres has consistently emphasized that "North Korea's continued missile launches using ballistic missile technology clearly violate relevant Security Council resolutions."
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said North Korea fired one IRBM from Pyongyang to the East Sea on the 6th, and North Korea claimed that a "new hypersonic mid- to long-range ballistic missile" was successfully tested.
