Deputy Minister of Education Oh Seok-hwan attended the presidential council of the National University of Korea and asked for cooperation in the freeze, considering the difficulties of people's livelihoods and the severe situation.
It also said it has eased conditions for universities to receive state scholarships even if they maintain 90% of their on-campus scholarships from the previous year to help ease some of the university's financial difficulties.
Nine presidents of National University were originally scheduled to attend today's meeting (8th), but only two representatives, including Chungcheongbuk-do University President Ko Chang-seop, attended because some of them did not come out on other schedules.
