Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency "Doesn't attempt to steal the election commission server"...refutation of suspicion

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, which is suspected of blocking the Election Commission and attempting to steal the server during the December 3 emergency martial law, denied the allegations altogether, saying it had never cooperated with martial law forces.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency refuted the press release distributed by the prosecution today (9th) by arresting and prosecuting Cho Ji-ho and Kim Bong-sik, former head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

The prosecution's data shows that police officers from the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency cooperated with the martial law army's control of the NEC's facilities.

In response, the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency claimed that it was not true that the police attempted to block the NEC or steal the server of the computer room.

An official from the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency emphasized that they were only dispatched to protect the constitutional agency, the NEC, and controlled outside visitors in accordance with instructions sent through the main office in the context of the declaration of emergency martial law.
