Lee Ho-jin, president of the Korea Ice Hockey Association, who took the lead in applying for provisional injunction, claimed in a YTN call that it was a clear "violation of the right to vote" for more than 2,400 electors to gather in certain places and vote for 150 minutes.
He also emphasized that "voting" is focused on voters in the Seoul metropolitan area, which undermines fairness, as they have to attend the polling place in Seoul Olympic Park on the day of the election.
The provisional injunction filed by 11 electors, including Chairman Lee, will be held at the Seoul Eastern District Court on the 13th, and according to the court ruling, there is a possibility that the election will be "totally postponed" like the Korea Football Association.
However, a sports association official told YTN that the election method and voting time were announced a long time ago and six candidates did not raise any objections, and expected the provisional disposition to be rejected as it was entrusted to the National Election Commission.
