U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to postpone the sentence of the "sexual scandal gag" case, which was rejected by the first and second trials in New York.

CNN and others reported that Trump's lawyers argued that the sentence should be suspended to prevent serious injustice and damage to the presidential system and the operation of the federal government.

Earlier, Trump asked the first trial court and the appeals court to delay the sentence of the sex scandal gag case, which was scheduled for 10 days local time, but all were rejected.

Trump's lawyers argued that the immunity enjoyed by the president during his term would extend to the period of regime change before he took office, but the court did not accept it.

The New York Times reported that the court only confirmed Trump's guilt and suggested he would rule on his "unconditional release," but it has symbolic significance for Trump to be disgraced as the first-ever president as a felon.

The U.S. Supreme Court consists of six conservative justices and three liberal justices.
