A heavy snow warning is in effect in five cities and counties, including Boryeong, Seocheon, and Taean in Chungcheongnam-do.

In addition, six cities and counties, including Gongju, Nonsan, and Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, have been given a preliminary special warning for heavy snow.

Since yesterday, the snow has been recorded at 14.7cm in Gyeryongsan Mountain, Chungcheongnam-do, 11.4cm in Chunjangdae in Seocheon, and 9.4cm in Sejongjeonui.

As the temperature fell, a cold wave warning was in effect in inland areas such as Cheonan and Asan in Chungcheongnam-do, and a strong wind warning was issued around the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do.

In some places, strong winds of 20m per second will blow.

Chungnam Fire Department explained that there were no casualties or related reports of snow or strong winds overnight.

The Korea Meteorological Administration expected more than 5 to 10cm of snow in Chungcheongnam-do today, and more than 15cm in many places.

Cold wave warnings have been issued in five cities and counties in inland areas, including Wanju, Muju, and Jinan.

Snow is forecast to be 5 to 15cm in the Jeonbuk region, and more than 20cm in the west coast and southern inland areas.

Due to a lot of snow and cold waves, the minimum temperature in the morning will drop from minus 10 degrees to 15 degrees Celsius in some inland areas of northern Jeollabuk-do.

The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted heavy, strong snow and wet snow on the west coast.

Accordingly, caution was advised against damage to facilities such as livestock and the collapse of a greenhouse.

He also stressed that vehicles should be careful about driving in snowy areas as there may be places with short visibility and icy roads and thin ice on roads.
