The Seoul High Court decided to dismiss candidate Lee Ki-heung's appeal against the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism for suspension of the chairman of the sports committee, just like the first trial.
Therefore, candidate Lee will continue to be suspended, and the Supreme Court will make a final decision as he is in a position to appeal again against the appeal.
Earlier in November last year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism notified the police of the suspension of Lee's duties based on the results of an investigation by the government's joint public service inspection team, saying he had illegally hired employees and demanded to sponsor goods.
Regardless of the rejection of the Seoul High Court's appeal, candidate Lee plans to run in the 42nd election for the chairman of the Korea Sports Council on the 14th.
