Eight students, including five men and three women, were bruised on their heads, foreheads, and arms in the 22-year-old girl's attack.
Kyodo News reported that all injuries were minor, and about 100 people were taking classes at the time.
The arrested girl reportedly told police that she had been hit with a blunt instrument found at the school as she piled up resentment that had been ignored by the students.
