A office with children" was created in Gyeongbuk Provincial Government for the first time in Korea to take care of children while working."

It is a new low birth rate measure from Gyeongsangbuk-do, which has succeeded in rebounding in the fertility rate for the first time in nine years since 2015.

Reporter Lee Yun-jae reports.

The children enter holding the hands of mom and dad.

I play with other friends and draw pictures in art class.

Parents who are public servants sit next to each other and work.

It is the first office with children in the country created in Gyeongbuk Provincial Government, 'K-Public Public Service'.

The burden of childcare has been greatly reduced by going to work with your child, leaving work together, and being able to watch your child while working.

[Jeong Ji-eun / North Gyeongsang Province Tourism Policy Officer: I don't take my child to school or academy, I go to work right away and my child lives as a child, and I feel light-hearted working the way I do. Also, because I'm with a child, I think the efficiency of my work is increasing a bit.]

[Kim Dan-woo / 1st grader: It's nice to go with my mom when I go, and come with my mom when I come.]

Professional instructors reside in the office with children to provide systematic care and education.

In the future, local universities and educational companies plan to develop customized programs together to spread the "public official" system.

[Lee Chul-woo / Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do: We will create a system where parents can work with their children so that no matter how many children they have, caring for them will not matter.... I hope that it will spread across the country with the first public walking store.]

North Gyeongsang Province has rebounded its fertility rate a year after declaring a "low birth rate and war" and pouring out various policies.

Attention is focusing on whether parents will be able to continue the trend of increasing the number of births with new attempts to work in the same space as their children.
