The opposition party has decided to push for the expulsion of former lawmaker Kim Min, who caused the controversy over the so-called "white bone team press conference," from the National Assembly.

The ruling party is drawing a line saying it is already over, but there are also voices of concern within the party over some of the moves to expand contact with far-right figures.

Opposition parties, including the Democratic Party of Korea, have jointly submitted a proposal to oust former lawmaker Kim Min, a member of the People's Power.

It comes a day after Representative Kim arranged a press conference for the National Assembly of the Anti-Communist Youth Corps, a group that stops the arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol's president, which operates an organization under the White Team.

[Cho Seung-rae / Senior spokesman for the main opposition Minjoo Party of Korea: How dare you bring the Baekgoldan, the name of a political gangster during the Liberal Party and a nickname for the arrested group of the dictatorship's plain clothes?]]

The Democratic Party of Korea raised its voice that it is inevitable to push for expulsion because Kim's attitude of blaming others and the left is a red flag.

[Han Jun-ho / Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea: (Rep. Kim) started cosplaying victims by sharing fake news on social media claiming that the Baekgoldan incident was a Democratic manipulation. I can't understand.]

The People's Power also acknowledged that Rep. Kim's actions were inappropriate, but said it would not take disciplinary steps at the party level.

However, along with the controversy over the "white bone team," it is also true that there are voices of concern within the party over the moves of some lawmakers who seem to focus on strong supporters.

Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun, who is visiting Hannam-dong's residence every day, recently attended a rally of Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, who is considered far-right, and greeted him in 90 degrees, sparking controversy.

[Yoon Sang-hyun / People's Power: Those who pray (in front of the official residence) and those who sleep on the floor. When I see the scene, I'm so moved that I even cry.]

The People's Power leadership says that it is the move of individual lawmakers and that it cannot prevent them while distancing itself from the party's policy.

The 'martial sympathy force' should be free from opposition criticism, but some analysts say it shows a situation in which the party cannot break up with its strong supporters, which are the basis of the recent rise in approval ratings.
