According to Japanese local reports, A, a woman enrolled in the Department of Social Affairs at Hosei University in Japan yesterday (10th) afternoon, wielded a blunt weapon against students around her during class in the Tama Campus classroom in Tokyo.
As a result, eight students in their 20s, including five men and three women, suffered bruises on their heads, foreheads, and arms, local police said.
Kyodo News said, "All the victims were injured lightly," adding, "At that time, 100 people were taking classes."
The local police said that A, who was arrested at the school, is a Korean living in Tokyo and stated, "I was ignored by the group and hit him with a blunt weapon."
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Since the fact is recognized, local missions have been providing necessary consular assistance," adding, "It is difficult to comment on the details because the investigation is currently underway."
