Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he has captured and is investigating two North Korean soldiers sent to Russia's Kursk region.

Zelenskyy said on his social media that they were wounded but survived, and that they were being taken to Kyiv for questioning by Ukraine's security services.

They, like other prisoners of war, are receiving the necessary treatment, and he has allowed media coverage of these North Korean troops, he added.

President Zelensky explained that the capture was not easy because Russia and the North Korean military usually execute wounded soldiers to hide evidence of their participation in the North Korean military.
