The simultaneous large forest fire in LA, USA, burned about a quarter of the area of Seoul, and the affected area is visible on the satellite.

Not only famous Hollywood stars but also former major leaguer Park Chan-ho's home were damaged by the forest fire.

Celebrity movie star and director Mel Gibson says his 15-year-old home was burned down and he was staying in Texas for a broadcast during the fire.

Paris Hilton, who lost her Malibu mansion, started fundraising for the victims, and actress Sharon Stone also donated clothes and shoes for the victims.

Former major leaguer Park Chan-ho is also known to be staying at a nearby hotel with his family after his second-floor home in Beverly Hills, LA, was damaged by forest fires.

So far, there have been no Korean casualties, but property damage is increasing due to the burning of houses.

Korean residents in the affected area evacuated to safe places such as Koreatown in the south, and local Korean organizations began to help the victims.
