Ukraine released a related video saying it captured two North Korean soldiers sent to the Kursk region of Russia.
Ukraine says North Korean prisoners claimed they thought they were participating in the training, but did not know if they were mobilized for war.

A man who appears to be Asian is lying on the bed of a detention facility.
This video was released by the Ukrainian security service, saying that he was a North Korean prisoner captured in Kursk on the 9th.

It said there were two captives, one a 20-year-old rifleman who joined the army in 2021, and the other a 26-year-old sniper who joined the army in 2016.
The 20-year-old prisoner had a Russian military identification card marked as being from the Russian Republic of Tuba, which borders northwest Mongolia.
He said he received his ID last fall and received a week of joint operations training with the Russian military, but did not expect to be sent to war.

Other prisoners testified the same way, Ukraine explained, which is like the experience of Russian forces in the early days of the war.
The two prisoners were also injured in the head and legs, but other health conditions were in good condition.
President Zelensky also announced the capture of North Korean soldiers, saying they are receiving the treatment they need, just like other prisoners.
In addition, Russia and the North Korean military execute most of the wounded soldiers to hide their participation in the war, so it was not easy to capture them.
President Zelensky said the world should know the truth about what is happening, adding that he had allowed media coverage of these prisoners.
