The Ministry of Environment's National Institute of Environmental Research will grant emission gas and noise certification for BYD's electric vehicle "Ato 3" as early as tomorrow (13th).
When the process is completed, "Ato 3" will complete all domestic certification procedures following the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
As a result, official sales in Korea are expected to begin as early as next month following BYD Korea's brand launch event on the 16th.
{Ato 3' is expected to receive less subsidies than domestic electric vehicles with low recycling rates of lithium, phosphoric acid, and iron batteries.
