Last year, the average global temperature was 1.6 degrees Celsius higher than in the pre-industrial era, the highest in history.
The impact of global warming is estimated to have caused more than 400 trillion won in damage last year alone, but humanity's response is facing a crisis.

Extreme weather changes are behind the worst wildfires on record in Los Angeles.
California has experienced unusually heavy rain since last year, making it overgrown with forests.
Then, from last summer, record-breaking heat waves and droughts continued, and the trees dried up and a huge firecracker was created.
On top of that, from October to May of the following year, wildfires quickly spread as they became powerful from the western inland to the Pacific Ocean.

Most experts point to global warming as the cause of such extreme weather events.
Last year, the average global temperature reached an all-time high, 1.6 degrees higher than in the pre-industrial era.
For the first time, it exceeded the 1.5 degrees, the Maginot Line of Catastrophe suggested in the 2015 Paris Agreement.
Of course, it is evaluated that long-term trends cannot be concluded only by one year's record.
However, no one is disagreeing that action is needed immediately.
Last year, there was also an analysis that the damage caused by climate change alone amounted to 440 trillion won.
[Bob Ward / London School of Economics] It is undeniable that last year was a warm year on record. Only those who cannot face reality can deny it.
However, political forces that deny or ignore climate change themselves, including President-elect Trump, are making strides.
Trump's transition team has reportedly prepared an executive order to withdraw from the Paris Agreement immediately after taking office.
