Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport makes white paper on Jeju Air plane disaster

The government has decided to make a white paper on the process of dealing with the Jeju Air plane disaster.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced this year's work plan at the Seoul Government Complex today (13th) and said it will focus on five major policy tasks, including safe Korea.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport emphasized that it will first make every effort to deal with the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster and innovate the overall safety system of aviation.

The government will push for the enactment of special laws to support living and medical support, psychological counseling, and memorial projects for the bereaved families, and objectively identify the cause of the accident to prevent a recurrence.

We will also promote the publication of a white paper to record the accident management process, such as support for bereaved families and investigation of accidents.

After emergency safety inspections by sectors such as airlines, airports, control, and regulations, it was also decided to come up with aviation safety innovation measures with private experts by April.

He added that existing new airport projects such as Gadeokdo New Airport will be carried out without a hitch.
