The National Institute of Environmental Research said dust accumulated as the atmosphere stagnated overnight and smog from China was introduced this morning, leading to a "bad" level of ultrafine dust concentration in most parts of the country.
However, from daytime, cold air will descend from the northwest, pushing dust southeast, and air quality is expected to recover to normal levels from the Midwest.
