The National Assembly's Special Committee on National Investigation to find out the truth about President Yoon Suk Yeol's alleged insurrection will begin its full-fledged activities, starting with the first institutional report.

The special committee will hold a general meeting and receive primary institutional reports from the Ministry of National Defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, counterintelligence and intelligence personnel, water defense, and the Special Warfare Command.

While 173 institutional witnesses were adopted at the last meeting, the issue of general witnesses, which has not yet been agreed upon by the ruling and opposition parties, is also expected to be the biggest issue.

The Democratic Party of Korea is demanding the adoption of witnesses such as President Yoon, former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, and former Public Administration Minister Lee Sang-min, while the People's Power is against the need for Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung and broadcaster Kim Eo-jun to attend.
