A highly pathogenic AI was confirmed at a spawning farm in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province.

Avian influenza detected at a spawning farm in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, has been confirmed to be H5N1 type highly pathogenic.

This winter, it was the 4th confirmed case in Chungbuk and the 24th confirmed case in the country.

In accordance with the emergency action guidelines, the quarantine authorities issued a temporary suspension of poultry movement in four neighboring cities and counties, including Eumseong-gun, Jincheon-gun, and Goesan-gun.

In addition, 70 poultry farms and 6 epidemiological-related farms within a 10-kilometer radius of the outbreak will be subject to movement restrictions and detailed inspections of avian influenza.
