Chairman Lee Ki-heung, who challenged for the third term, came in second with 379 votes, followed by Kang Tae-sun, chairman of the Seoul Sports Council, with 215 votes.

Thanks to the strong support of the incumbent chairman, Yoo overcame the competition of the largest number of six people ever, and he gathered the athletes' desire for change.

Following the Great Wall of China, the Olympic gold medal that defeated Wang Hao of China, and the election of the IOC athletes commissioner, which entered late, he launched another "friendly rebellion."
