In response to President Yoon Suk Yeol's arrest on charges of rebellion, the ruling party launched an offensive saying that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit had been reduced to a subcontractor of the Democratic Party.

On the other hand, the opposition party again pressed the ruling party to propose a special prosecution law, saying it was the first step toward restoring the constitutional order.

First, please tell us the atmosphere of the ruling party.

Yes, the People's Power made its first position at around 11:10 a.m., about 40 minutes after President Yoon's arrest.

Shin Dong-wook, a senior spokesman for the People's Power, said the Airborne Division eventually executed illegal arrest warrants, accusing him of questioning whether any of the Airborne Division's actions so far were legitimate.

The Democratic Party's pressure on the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to execute arrest warrants clearly shows that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit has effectively become a subcontractor of the Democratic Party, claiming that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, which lost its political neutrality, lost its reason for existence.

The People's Power held an emergency general meeting of lawmakers at around 11:20 and started discussing future measures.

Earlier, the ruling party leaders held an emergency meeting at 6 a.m. after the police and the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit began executing arrest warrants, and urged them to stop immediately, saying they could not understand the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit's insistence on enforcement even though there was a controversy that the arrest warrant was illegal.

Apart from the leadership, about 30 members of the People's Power gathered in front of the Hannam-dong residence early in the morning to protest the execution of the arrest warrant.

Reps. Kim Ki-hyun and Na Kyung-won voiced their opinions that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit, which does not have the right to investigate rebellion, is interpreting the law at will and forcing the execution of illegal arrest warrants.

The opposition party also held an emergency general meeting of lawmakers and responded, right?

Please also tell us about it.

Yes, the Democratic Party of Korea also held an emergency general meeting at 11 a.m. and watched President Yoon's attendance at the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit.

Floor leader Park Chan-dae said, "President Yoon's arrest is the first step toward the restoration of constitutional order, democracy, and the realization of the rule of law," adding, "It is fortunate to confirm that the public power and justice of the Republic of Korea are alive."

He also urged the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to reveal the full extent of the civil war and hold President Yoon accountable.

As the execution of arrest warrants began in earnest early this morning, the Democratic Party held an emergency meeting of lawmakers and demanded a prompt arrest.

Let's hear your remarks this morning.

The Democratic Party is also pressuring the ruling party to deal with the emergency martial law case independent counsel law.

The public opposed the independent counsel's resistance, and when President Yoon's arrest was imminent, he said he would quickly propose his own independent counsel law, but he criticized that he was not showing his will, saying, "This is not possible, that is not possible."

If the independent counsel law is proposed this afternoon, it can be discussed overnight, but it has also made it clear that it will hold a plenary session tomorrow to pass the independent counsel law.

Yes, a parliamentary investigation was also held at the National Assembly today on charges of rebellion, and the rival parties' battles were exchanged here as well?

[Reporter]
Yes. Since 10 a.m., institutional reports have been made to the Presidential Secretariat, the Prime Minister's Office, and the Presidential Security Service.

The ruling party argued from the beginning that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit is disgracing, not investigating, and that senior officials of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit should be present for the parliamentary investigation.

On the other hand, the opposition party responded to discuss only the matters related to the parliamentary investigation, saying that it is a legitimate execution of warrants, and that if the president walks on his own, the head of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit can also come out.

Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who was suspended due to the National Assembly's approval of the impeachment bill last month, also attended the committee today.

On the other hand, Acting President Choi Sang-mok, former Chief of the Presidential Security Service Park Jong-joon, and Deputy Director Kim Sung-hoon did not submit a statement of reasons for not attending.
