"Don't touch"...Unidentified Beads Flood Sydney Beach

Nine beaches were closed after unknown bead-shaped materials flooded the beaches of northern Sydney, Australia.

According to Australia's ABC News on the 14th local time, nail-sized white and gray bead-shaped debris were found along Sydney's northern coastline earlier in the day.

Authorities at the Northern Beach Council closed nine beaches, including Manly Beach, after the Environmental Protection Agency warned them to be safe.

Authorities urged citizens not to touch the material. He also said he plans to check the cause and identity of the substance and whether it has washed up on other beaches.

Earlier in October last year, Sydney authorities closed beaches the size of golf balls and hundreds of "black balls" of material.

The material was initially believed to be a lump of oil debris called 'tarball'. Tarballs are formed when oil comes into contact with plastic and water, mainly seen on nearby beaches when oil leaks occur in the sea.

However, it was concluded that there was no oil leak near Sydney at the time, and that the black ball was also made up of hundreds of various ingredients such as cooking oil, soap residue, and pesticides, making it unknown.
