"The United States will continue to commit to cooperation with the South Korean government and recognize the efforts of the South Korean government and its citizens to comply with the constitution," the White House National Security Council, the NSC, said in a statement on the 15th local time.
The NSC also stressed that the US's support for the Korean people remains unchanged, and that it also supports a "common commitment to the rule of law between South Korea and the United States."
