Russia, Ukraine exchange 50 prisoners through UAE mediation

Russia and Ukraine have exchanged 50 prisoners.

Russia's Defense Ministry said in a statement on the 15th local time that it had exchanged 25 prisoners each through the mediation of the United Arab Emirates.

The Russian prisoners are now receiving medical and psychological support from Belarus, it added, after which they will be returned to Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said on social media X that 25 prisoners had returned to their home countries and thanked the United Arab Emirates.
