The power of the people has been slammed as a judicial coup by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit without investigative power, but the Democratic Party says the president's arrest has led to the realization of the rule of law.

The people's power takes issue with the issuance and execution of arrest warrants and consistently defines the investigation of President Yoon as illegal.

In a morning meeting, Kwon Young-se, chairman of the emergency committee, accused the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police of ignoring the investigation process and effectively causing a judicial coup.

The level of attacks on judicial risks, including the trial of the Public Official Election Act by Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, has also increased.

He also emphasized that since he has secured the president's whereabouts, suspicions surrounding the emergency martial law situation should be investigated through a thorough investigation.

At the morning meeting, policy committee chairman Jin Sung-joon urged the ruling party to cooperate in discussing the extra budget, saying that the government should stabilize the national turmoil that triggered the civil war and focus on reviving people's livelihoods and the economy.

A key official from Lee Jae-myung said he is sorry for the tragedy of the arrest of the incumbent president and said he will focus his capabilities on the economy, diplomacy and security at a time when people's livelihoods are difficult.

Unlike the ruling party's approval rating, which has recently recovered to pre-martial law levels, the Democratic Party's approval rating is still considered to be conscious of the stagnant situation.

A floor official suspected the ruling party's sincerity, saying that negotiations can begin only when the people's power brings a blank sheet of paper, but that it is dragging its feet.

The People's Power has been holding a general meeting of lawmakers for a while and discussing whether to propose the "Emergency Special Counsel Act," which reduces the subject, duration, and number of investigations in the opposition special counsel bill.

Earlier, the ruling party announced that it would negotiate with the opposition party by proposing a special prosecution bill that removed the toxic clause, but the growing skepticism of the special prosecution is a variable as public opinion within the party intensifies due to the president's arrest.
