KOSPI and KOSDAQ rise more than 1% on 'warm wind from the U.S.'

The KOSPI and KOSDAQ indexes also rose more than 1% due to the rise of the New York Stock Exchange last night.

The KOSPI rose 1.23 percent to close at 2,527.49 amid net buying by foreigners and institutions.Some of the

chapters crossed the 2,530 line.

The KOSDAQ index also closed 1.77 percent higher at 724.24 on net buying by foreigners and institutions.

The won-dollar exchange rate was 1,456.7 won, down 4.5 won from the beginning of the market as of 3:30 p.m.
